Keith Brewer, MD, is an east coast native born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated magna cum laude from Indiana University, Bloomington, with a degree in chemistry. He graduated from Washington University, Saint Louis in 1978. After a five-year residency in general surgery at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, he returned to Washington University for a two-year plastic surgery residency from 1983-1985. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1984 and by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1986.
After practicing with the Woodland Clinic Medical Group, a multi-specialty group, for six and a half years, he established his practice at its current location in Davis, California. His extensive training in reconstructive surgery provides him with a uniquely thorough understanding of anatomy and its relation to function and aesthetics.
He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, and is the past president of the Sacramento Society of Plastic Surgeons. He served as an ASPS advisor to the Association of Plastic Surgical Assistants from 2002-2006. He has authored or co-authored several articles published in peer-reviewed journals.
He maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys skiing and playing golf whenever the practice allows.
